Hello,
Welcome to Kid'n Acres. We are the Aguirre's; David & Katrina and
our 4 boys, Jake, Conrad, Troy and Josh. We are located on approximately 4 acres in Chesapeake, Virginia.
We are originally from Texas and Florida. David joined the U.S. Navy
in 1993 and we spent 10 years in San Diego, CA. We wanted to find a place with some room for
our boys to run. We found this little house in the country and fell in love with it immediately. We relocated
here in Sep 2003.
We purchased our first Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats in 2004, simply as a source
of milk for our family. We had no idea how much we would love raising our goats! They are so much fun to
have around.
Our first two goats, Ticle and Shelly, came to us from Magnolia Meadow
Farm (now known as Tobacco Creek Farm). Thanks Sally for getting us started. Ticle and Shelly gave birth to our
first kids in July and Aug of 2004. So our herd quickly grew to seven goats, including 3 wethers and 2 doe
kids.
We have now added several more does and bucks from some of the top breeders
in the country. We have quickly built, what we feel, are the foundation for a very strong herd. We are continuously
seeking out the very best animals to improve upon the lines we have.
We added our first Alpine doe in 2007and hope to start a VERY small breeding
program in 2008.
Our primary objective is to produce SUPERIOR MILKERS with INCREDIBLE
UDDERS that have EXCEPTIONAL SHOW CHARACTER.
