GodivaJD.jpg

Godiva surprised us by having a single buck.  I would have sworn there were more, but as it turns out she is just a deep bodied doe.  This little buck is being offered as a herd sire with great potential to produce kids with strong mammary systems and dairy character.

AthenaJD.jpg

This cross brings together some of the best genetics in the Nigerian breed, including CV Cowpoke, CV Stetson, CV Minuet, TC Luck of the Draw, Twink's Pixie, PromisedLand and Green Gate.  We are really excited about the potential of these kids.  This could be the BEST breeding in our herd for 2008.

This is probably one of the best breeding combinations in our herd, line breeding on CV Stetson and CV Cowpoke with some PromisedLand and Green Gate genetics as icing on the cake.  Really strong potential for high, strongly attached udders.

Twin bucks.  Both will be sold as wethers.

Domino.JPG

Sunflower is being rebred to Domino, who is a promising young buck who I am sure will improve dairy character and general appearance.  Excellent potential for high, capacious udders.  The flashy colors is just the icing on the cake.  Looking to bring in those strong Cowpoke, PromisedLand & Green Gate genetics.

Blondie2.JPG

With Wally's sudden death we are going to breed Blondie to Domino to build upon those Cowpoke, Stetson genetics that are proven in the breed.  This should be a fantastic combination of dairy character and mammary production.

This is a heavy line breeding on some of the very best genetics in the breed, including CV Cowpoke, CV Stetson, CV Minuet, Green Gate and PromisedLand.  Domino is a promising young sire who is throwing very correct kids.  We are really excited about this breeding.

TwixJD.jpg

I am really excited to see Twix freshen.  This breeding should be really nice, combining the strong mammary genetics from PromisedLand, Caesar's Villa and Twin Creeks.  Domino's first kids are flashy and very correct.

I am very impressed with the udders I am seeing from Sage and this should be no exception.  I expect to see high attachments, nice teat size and placement combined with excellent general appearance.  Domino's kids are flashy and very correct and this should be a very nice combination.

Godiva's 2nd freshening udder was FABULOUS.  I only wish I had been able to show her more in 2008.  So I've decided to breed her early to Domino for spring kids.  You can expect very correct kids, great mammary potential with flashy colors.

Beeauty2.JPG

Bee'auty is one of the most dairy does we have and I am looking at this breeding to strenthen that medial suspensory ligament.  The udders I am seeing from Sage are very nice and this combination could prove to be one of the best for 2009.

As soon as we can I am going to turn around and breed Star again.  This is a heavy line breeding on CV Stetson and carries the National Champion and Reserve National Champion doe lines.  Sage is producing some nice kids with exceptional mammary systems.  I would expect the same with this breeding.  Potential for bucks out of this breeding also.

Ciara.JPG

These kids should be fantastic.  Last year the kids were very correct.  I expect the same for 2009.  Chance for polled kids.  We do NOT sell many bucks, so if bucks are born, this is a great opportunity to get a very nice herd sire with some fantastic genetics.

Cookie was barely a year old when she kidded this year (an accident).  Hopefully, the additional time to grow will work in her favor.  Her kids were very correct last year, sired by Domino.  This year we are using Beemer to bring in those strong Gem/Surpise genetics.  Should be a very nice mix.

We have not been successful in getting Brianna bred.  But we are going to put in a big effort this fall to get her bred.  These kids should be very similar to her half-sister, Ciara, and I am real pleased with them.  This is a strong FR Gem, FR Hummer, FR Maestro, GPZ Leprechaun and Gay-Mor breeding.  Brianna is one of Leprechaun's last daughters so we are very excited about these kids.
