made with alfalfa or grass that is carefully selected and harvested at peak leafiness to maximize nutrients, palatability
and digestibility. Within hours of harvest, while still fresh, the Chaffhaye alfalfa is chopped, lightly misted
with molasses and compressed into air-tight bags. The specially designed bag locks in the freshness and initiates nature's
own fermentation process. The Chaffhaye bag acts as a natural fermentation vat, similar to the digestive process that
occurs in the digestive tract of horses and livestock. The process converts raw alfalfa into a "pre-digested"
feed with live yeast and beneficial enzymes not normally found in dry hay or pellets. Chaffhaye's abundant levels
